Summary

A four-decade tradition continues as the Society for Astronomical Sciences holds its annual Symposium, to celebrate small-telescope astronomical research and collaborations among amateur and professional astronomers.

Description

The purpose of the Symposium is to emphasize small-telescope research and amateur-professional collaboration. It will include papers related to variable stars, asteroids, exoplanets, supernova, and related topics; with amateurs and professionals discussing instrumentation, software, hardware, and the latest techniques in data acquisition and analysis. If you want to see how small telescope research is contributing to astronomical science, learn more about photometry, astrometry, spectroscopy, imaging, and the newest hardware and software techniques, this is the conference you will NOT want to miss! SAS-2023 will be held in-person in southern California, and with an interactive online participation via Zoom.

This page is for the "on-line participant" Symposium description and Registration.
