Description
The purpose of the Symposium is to emphasize small-telescope research and amateur-professional collaboration. It will include papers related to variable stars, asteroids, exoplanets, supernova, and related topics; with amateurs and professionals discussing instrumentation, software, hardware, and the latest techniques in data acquisition and analysis. If you want to see how small telescope research is contributing to astronomical science, learn more about photometry, astrometry, spectroscopy, imaging, and the newest hardware and software techniques, this is the conference you are looking for! SAS-2025 will be held in-person in southern California, and with an interactive online participation via Zoom. Details, including the Call for Abstracts, are in the November, 2024 Newsletter, available on our website (SocAstroSci.org) at SAS-Newsletter-Nov-2024.
